Homeland Hospice
Hospice is a philosophy of care appropriate when a medical cure is no longer possible or a decision to stop aggressive treatment has been made.
Homeland Hospice helps patients live as fully and comfortably as possible by providing symptom and pain relief; care services and therapies; spiritual support; and on-call support.
Who can receive hospice?
A hospice evaluation can be requested when a patient is diagnosed with a life-limiting illness. Patients can receive hospice care anywhere they call “home” – be it their residence or a skilled nursing or personal care community.
Is hospice covered by Medicare?
Hospice care is normally covered by Medicare when certified by a physician. Private pay and Medicaid coverage for qualified individuals also are accepted.
