History, Heart & Honor… Hats off to the Homeland Hospice 15th is a celebration that will mark 15 years of providing exceptional end-of-life care to those we serve and pay tribute to over 157 years of caring for our community.

The event will honor Homeland’s history, the history of the hospice movement, our hospice patients and families – and particularly the Veterans we’ve served and all Veterans in Central Pennsylvania. We also will honor and share stories of our team members who provide exceptional care with what we like to call “The Heart of Hospice.”

Live performances will put the heart in this special occasion, with storytelling that will touch your soul and music that will send your spirits soaring. Decorated veteran-turned-country singer-songwriter Keni Thomas headlines the special occasion. You’ll be captivated by Keni’s personal account and life lessons from when he served as a U.S. Army Ranger. He will perform his own music featuring inspiring themes of patriotism and perseverance in the face of life’s challenges. Opening for Keni will be singing historian Roy Justice who will perform a folk-style song about Homeland’s history written especially for this occasion.

The event kicks off with a pre-show reception where guests can purchase snacks from Patriot’s Pub & Grub and visit the cash bar for their favorite drinks. You’ll also have a chance to browse our Stories of the Heart gallery which will feature stories of the Veterans we’ve served and stories of our hospice team members who put the “heart” in hospice care.

History, Heart & Honor will be held Saturday, November 23, from 2-5 pm at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Harrisburg. Dress code is casual, and in honor of the event’s theme, guests are encouraged to wear their favorite hat and best denim.

General admission tickets are $15 and can be purchased on Homeland’s event website. To show appreciation for the sacrifices made by those who serve our country, 300 complimentary tickets for Veterans are available. Proof of Veteran status is required.
